National Average Fertility Success Rates
Based on live birth rate as reported by the CDC
The Center for Disease Control does some extensive analysis each year to compile the data submitted by all practicing fertility clinics in the United States.
The latest report from 2006 shows that there were 426 reporting fertility clinics performing IVF treatment that year.
These 426 clinics reported starting 99,199 IVF cycles using fresh, non-donor embryos. As a result of those cycles, 34,719 women got pregnant, and 28,404 carried the baby to term and gave birth. That means, that the average national IVF success rate for a fresh cycle in 2006 was 28.63%. For each woman's age category, the national average looks as follows:
